Engaging in community service provides students with the opportunity to become active community leaders and has a lifelong, positive impact on society as a whole. Such type of participation in social cause enables students to acquire life skills and knowledge, as well as provide support to those who need it most. For the very same purpose, graduate and postgraduate students of forensic science, along with Community service members, Faculty of Science, SGT University, Gurugram organized an awareness program on Cyber Security particularly emphasizing on ATM/Debit/Credit Card on 3rd March 2020 at Hari Mandir, Farrukh Nagar. The students gave awareness on the same and provided solution to interact with villagers. They explained through posters how to avoid frauds related to Debit/Credit cards and told them about precautionary measures during money withdrawal from ATM. During interaction some villagers also shared their experience of such frauds. Dr.Vineeta Saini from the Department of Forensic Science & Dr Archana Chaudhary from Department of Environmental Science guided students for this awareness programe. The students also discuss the issues and problems faced by villagers so that they may work on problems by providing solutions and effective measures.
