About the Department

The Department of Forensic Science offers UG, PG and Ph.D. programs to generate trained professionals with complete knowledge about various aspects and applications of different fields of science for the purpose of justice in the court of law. The curriculum has been designed with an aim to create a new era of Forensic education through comprehensive teaching, training, and research. The pedagogy of the program includes hands-on workshops, conferences, seminars and training in Forensic Science Laboratories (FSLs). The department focuses on providing students complete exposure to the field of Forensic Science, Crime Investigation and Criminal Justice System. The faculty practices novel and effective teaching methods and assess students based on their overall development

The objective of the department is to encourage new developments and research in the field of forensic science in order to meet the demands and need of criminal justice system.
