About
Dr. Bhawana Joshi is an Assistant Professor in Dept. Forensic Science, with more than 7 years of working experience in the field of Forensic Science. She has been teaching at the Faculty of Science of SGT University since September 2020. She has done her graduation BSc (H) (Instrumentation) from University of Delhi and MSc. (Forensic Science) from Amity University, Noida. She has scored all India first rank in UGC-NET-JRF exam. She has completed her Ph.D. (Forensic DNA Fingerprinting) from Punjabi University, Patiala. She is a qualified teaching professional. She has been actively involved in organizing various academic and cultural activities at department and University Level. She has done different online certificate courses via platforms like Coursera etc. She has various publications to her credit. She has regularly attended and participated in various National and International conferences, seminars, workshops and Faculty Development programmes. She is a member of the ADNAT, and also, a member of Royal Society of Chemistry. She has published many research papers and book chapters in international journals. Her research interests include Forensic Biology & Serology, STR markers Forensic DNA Fingerprinting, Population genetics, and Ancestry Informative markers, etc.
